Renovate Your Bathroom With This Affordable Upgrade

Waking up in the winter is such a daunting task. It’s warm and cozy in our beds while the floor is icy cold and the wait for hot water to finally reach the shower seems like eons. It’s so easy to snuggle up, hit snooze and loathe the day for arriving so soon.

Eventually reality kicks in.

Is there no avoiding hopping from one foot to the next until hot water makes its way to the bathroom? Is the only other alternative showering in the evening? There has to be a better way!

Luckily there is, and our clients are certainly enjoying the results. The solution isn’t Hot Water on Demand. A tankless water heater doesn’t quite live up to the hype of energy savings or have a consistent temperature.circulating hot water pump

Rather, a cost effective alternative is a circulating hot water pump.

According to Wikipedia a circulation pump is “often used to circulate domestic hot water so that a faucet will provide hot water instantly upon demand, or (more conserving of energy) a short time after a user’s request for hot water.”

The Price is Right

You don’t need to invest thousands of dollars into Hot Water on Demand to get that hot shower as soon as you wake up. Given that at a fraction of the cost, the circulating pump will cut down time to get hot water by about half.

Many Vancouver Island homeowners are still operating off of a well. Will this approach work for them? Definitely!

Winter is a great time to renovate your bathroom as contractors are generally less busy, timelines are more easily met and there is often special pricing to reduce inventory. If your bathroom needs to be updated ask about including a circulation pump to the project. In-floor heating is a luxury that can certainly blow your budget. Give yourself the comfort and convenience of hot water when you need it. An additional $500-$600 dollars will be money well spent!
